SIR HUMMUS

We opened Sir Hummus in 2015 to give hummus the respect it deserves. Back then, proper hummus in Amsterdam was rare. So we went all in on the basics that matter most. Soak, cook, blend and season with care. Source the best chickpeas and tahini we could find. Improve a little every day. Keep it honest, healthy and full of soul.

It worked because you felt it. Over a decade we welcomed regulars, curious first-timers and homesick expats. Bowls were warm, the vibe was down to earth, and quality was non-negotiable. When the world changed, we experimented with Sir Pita to keep food fast, affordable and delicious. Some things shifted, but the core never did. Craft over shortcuts. Flavor over hype. People over everything.

Now the restaurant chapter has closed and a new chapter begins. We are turning years of hard-won lessons into three offerings:

  • B2B consulting for founders and operators who want help with menu development, operations and brand clarity.

  • Private workshops for teams, friends and families who want a joyful, hands-on food experience.
